Infoblox Reporting and Analytics Provides Predictive Insight and Almost Unlimited Scaling to Help Increase Network Uptime and Security
SANTA CLARA, CA --(Marketwired - January 27, 2016) - Infoblox Inc. (NYSE: BLOX), the network control company, today announced Infoblox Reporting and Analytics, a powerful solution that unlocks the hidden value of core network services data. In today's world of increasing network complexity and connected devices, it is imperative for enterprises to have a predictable network infrastructure to stay competitive. Infoblox helps organizations sort through network complexity to find actionable insights that help mitigate security threats, meet compliance requirements, and anticipate future network overloads and failures.
Infoblox Reporting and Analytics (www.infoblox.com/reporting) makes it possible to create custom reports and dashboards almost instantly, through a simple point-and-click interface. These reports are not limited to describing what's already happened -- they can also uniquely predict the future. Traditional prediction methods perform poorly in anticipating spikes or peaks, which are often the cause of outages or the sign of an attack. Through Infoblox patent-pending Exponential Moving Maximum (EMM) filters, peak forecasting accuracy is improved to provide more valuable insights into network status, resource usage, performance, and more.
Infoblox Reporting and Analytics also offers virtually unlimited data storage through clustering; users can add more physical or virtual Reporting Appliances as needed to increase the length of data retention, improve query performance, and provide high availability. This additional capacity is available on a pay-as-you-go basis through either perpetual or subscription licenses. Capacity can be upgraded at any time, so it's easy to match the solution to the ever-changing needs of the modern hybrid datacenter.
Infoblox is the industry leader in DNS, DHCP, and IP address management, the category known as DDI. Because these services sit at the core of the network, Infoblox can collect the network's most valuable data from physical and virtual Infoblox Grid™ members without adding agents or in-line appliances. Infoblox Reporting and Analytics mines this database to ease four networking headaches:
"I'm excited by the power and flexibility Infoblox Reporting and Analytics can give me to dig into network data that was previously inaccessible," said Simran Sandhu, manager of network infrastructure at Adobe Systems. "The new features will help distill the signals from the noise and give the flexibility to structure dashboards that provide predictive analytics on the efficiency, security, and future health of our network."
Infoblox Reporting and Analytics enables users to export its valuable data in a number of open formats-including PDF, CSV, JSON, and XML-for easy distribution or consumption by third-party systems, on demand or at scheduled intervals. This is part of a broad Infoblox commitment to providing an open platform for both sharing and consuming contextual network and security data across the IT ecosystem. For example, Infoblox has recently announced integrations with Cisco ISE and Bit9 + Carbon Black to enhance network security.
To help Infoblox customers learn from each other, a forum in the Infoblox Experts Community (https://community.infoblox.com/t5/Reporting/bd-p/Reporting) will give users of Infoblox Reporting and Analytics an opportunity to share their custom report templates and benefit from each other's best practices. The Infoblox team will also periodically add new report templates to the forum.
"For most organizations, networks never stop growing and are always becoming more complex," said Scott Fulton, executive vice president of products at Infoblox. "Infoblox Reporting and Analytics helps overcome this growth and complexity by making networks easier and less expensive to manage and protect."
